why invest in a birth chart reading?

A birth chart is a screenshot of the heavens the moment you were born, as it relates to the time of day or night you were born. On a deeper level, it is what Hellenistic or Classical astrologers refer to as the "natal promise", meaning the  potential of certain kinds of experiences promised or indicated in the life of the chart owner. The promise as a metaphor is like a garden. A place that is always in different stages of sprouting, growing, harvesting, and returning after death.  Everything we start or experience we have runs the course of birth, culmination, and returning to source. An astrologer can help you to see where some of the natal promise is active and in what stage you are likely to be in, and can even project into the future, so you can plan or accept what you are going through with better connection to spirit and yourself.

While astrology is a very deeply spiritual practice, it is not necessary to believe that it works, or believe in god or a higher order, although it can help. This is because the ancient wisdom embodied in the practice is universal and based on philosophical values, and natural laws of cause and effect, we sometimes refer to as "karma".
