About our Consultations process

There are many approaches to astrology. At Light Cycle Astrology, we practice ancient Western or traditional astrology, sometimes referred to as Hellenistic astrology. In this two-thousand year old tradition, the space between astrologer and client was seen as sacred because both astrologer and client sought to connect and receive answers from a higher divine order. Often there were arduous journeys to the top of a mountain or deep into a desert after many days of fasting. Once  there, a sacrifice in some form was offered up to the oracle. This was all to show the oracle reverence.

Sometimes, it is hard to decide what specifically you want to know. In this case we have a few choices to choose from for the topic of a reading.

3) Tracking Past Events in Secondary Progressed Lunation 

Other times, you know exactly what question or area of life you want to find out about, such as relationships, life purpose, career, health, family karma, etc. This is more in line with how our ancient ancestors approached oracular council. It was the job of the astrologer to cultivate a spiritual relationship with the oracle, which  helped them to read the signs on behalf of a person seeking counsel, and it was always best when a querent had a clarified sincere meaningful question. The more vague   the inquiry, the more vague the interpretation. The more in the heart and clarified the question, the more meaningful the interpretation of symbols. 

Lastly it is useful to know is that symbols are multivalent, meaning, each can represent many things. For instance, is Mars in your chart speaking to your need to be independent, or that there was conflict between you and a family member? We are here to provide context into the nature of  one’s personal fate and fortune, natal karma and promise, portend future circumstances and outcomes, that encourage the empowerment of free will and understanding. Again, the more of your story we have that provides context, the better we can determine how to read the symbols in your chart.
